The purpose of this study is to examine assessments based on theoretical Narrative play therapy. The authors conducted case studies by referring the assessment list in respect of the parent-child, the child-therapist and the context of the child in their natural environment, as presented by Faoite(2011a). As a result, behavior patterns and the means of coping behaviors as they related to the child`s desires were examined and the relationship with the parent and the child`s behavior, was uncovered, as revealed through the ecological environment. Furthermore, the assessment helped the therapist and child to establish a good working rapport and enabled the parent to see positive aspects of their child through the process of searching sharable hopes and recuperative powers with their child. Moreover, the assessment provided a great variety of data which proved useful in establishing the goals and strategies of the therapy. Therefore, this study will help play therapist to better understand the Narrative play therapy and the application method of assessment for Narrative play therapy.
